Sporting art is different to art in general. It associates itself with sporting memorabilia such as drawings made on the programmes of various events and objects which are directly related to the circumstances of sporting fixtures. The artist Harold Riley is producing an exclusive series of eight page folded cards. These cards relate to a subject that Mr Riley has painted or drawn with text to explain the nature of the work. The concept is unique and each card can be considered as a work of art. The series will include such sporting notaries as Jack Nicklaus and Lord Sebastian Coe.
Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, a great friend of the artist, is the subject of the first card. This graphic work is the first in a series which will become sought after as so few are created.
From a limited edition of just 250, the card is numbered and signed by both Harold Riley and Alex Ferguson and is presented in the Riley signature box.
The card priced at £375 is available from our online store and also from the Riley Gallery in the Lowry Outlet Mall on Salford Quays
Also available from the Riley Gallery, is a special perspex frame, designed by Harold Riley as a way of displaying the card.
