A white dog that lived in Swinton, sitting on a corner near to the Acme Mill. He was called Major and looked very stern. His owner said he was a very kind dog who always sat on that particular corner waiting for him to come home from the mill. Major was very suspicious of being drawn and gave an old-fashioned look.
